Did you know...
Obesity is on the increase, as too are the medical
conditions associated with it.
What you may not realise is that being just three
stone overweight classifies you as being clinically obese and can
affect your self-confidence, fitness levels and, more seriously, puts
you at an increased risk of developing diabetes, hypertension and
cancer. Help is at hand in the form of LighterLife. Ring me on 0208
366 4443 to find out about leading a slimmer healthier life.
'Success is the sum of small
efforts, repeated day in and day out'. Robert Collier.
If you need a little extra motivation to
maintain your success then you are always welcome to come back to a
LighterLife meeting to re engage and re enforce what you have
learnt.
Men's Area
New research reveals that
one in ten British men is unable to see past their bellies. The
research into the health of the nation's men carried out by
weight-loss and weight-management specialist LighterLife amongst
2,000 men investigated why the health of British men was in such a
poor state. It highlighted only in drastic circumstances would
British males consider doing something about their weight, with 52%
confirming they would only attempt to lose weight if they were
constantly embarrassed about the way they looked.

June and July!!!!!
..Favourite months for me.......I love the summer...but it can be
challenging facing up to the more revealing summer clothes
wardrobe!!...We have lots of clients coming in at the moment who
want to shed some weight before their holidays....Lots of us wait
till the last minute to address weight loss...For some it's become
their 'norm'.....a way of managing their weight.
But of
course for most of us the last minute dash is never going to work
as a long term solution to our weight management and of course our
weight begins to spiral out of control and when we look
back we will say 'why didn't
I do something earlier'.
Do you find
yourself setting goals you didn't achieve? Do you find yourself doing
the same things in the hope that you'll get a different result?
Have you ever thought 'if I carry on eating and drinking like this,
I'm going to give myself serious health problems' and then in the
weeks that followed have you carried on eating and drinking in the
same way?
Those that
have done the programme before may understand I am describing Sabotage...
Self-sabotage means repeatedly stopping yourself- or
allowing circumstances to stop you - from getting what you want in life.
Recognising how and when this happens can help you to manage your
goals and your weight more effectively...This is the sort of work
we do in our weekly groups to help you develop new successful
strategies so you can avoid this in the future.
It's horrible coming back???...For some this is how they feel...but You are
never judged - we know how hard the job of weight management is
especially when life gets complicated or difficult. Ask yourself,
how much of a problem does my weight have to get before I do
something? Get ready for summer, but most important of all is to
Get ready for action, and don't be alone. We have new Lite, Total,
Refreshers and Management weightloss groups starting, and we
are waiting to welcome you into our lovely cabin !!!!!

Pauline Quirke
I want to feel happy about the
way I look...
I
didn't get big overnight. It's quite simple, my weight has
crept up over the last 30-35 years due to overindulgence. For
years, I hadn't owned a pair of scales and it was a shock
when, this January, I weighed myself.
LighterLife is helping me change
For too long, I've
been fed up with being fat but now I'm doing something about
it. I joined LighterLife in January 2011 and am already over a
quarter of the way to my goal of 11stone. I'm already
three dress sizes lighter and it feels fantastic.
I needed some support
I
chose LighterLife as it was a quick solution and I knew I'd benefit
from the support of my Counsellor and the other women in my
group. I've also found reading the success stories
in the LighterLife
magazine really motivating. When I
see what other people have achieved it makes me determined to stay
focussed and not succumb to the temptation of a Saturday night
takeaway or a Sunday roast.
Get motivated
If
you're considering joining LighterLife, it's always inspiring to
read about other people's success. To find out more about Pauline's
LighterLife journey read
her interview in Best magazine.

embarrassed about - as your LighterLife Weight-Management
Counsellor I am here to support you along with the group all of the
way. After all, we understand what you are going through better
than anyone else and can help you get back on track.
